Technology can be a good thing and a bad thing in how it affects our relationships and society. Too much information gets out quickly by email and internet. Too many rumors and things that can be bad for people get ou too from facebook, twitter and other internet sites.
Technology is good for business- computer programs run faster and more efficient, work gets done better- programs, website, machinery is all better technology.
Why are individuality and diversity important in society? I believe individuality and diversity are important because they make each individual person unique and different. Without diversity, the world would be bland and boring. Also, individuality allows people to have different personalities, making interactions between people more interesting and meaningful. They let people think differently and come up with different ideas from multiple perspectives. A society, to me, would not be successful if the people consisted within it were all alike.
How does technology affect our relationships and interactions with other people?
Without technology, we wouldn’t be able to communicate as easy as we do now. Imagine a world without Facebook, Twitter, the internet, cell phones, Skype, or any technology that we use to communicate. So many people these days have a Facebook or Twitter that is so easy to send a quick message or go on chat. Hardly any of my friends ever send e-mails anymore. If we didn’t have these types of communication, then we wouldn’t be able to send out party invitations, notifications, or any other message as quick or at all. Facebook makes it easy to say a quick happy birthday to a friend, or to send a birthday invite. Cell phones help us to text or call our friends and family. Also, if we need to get a hold of someone in an emergency, we have the means right at our fingertips. Technology has shaped our world, and that’s just who we are.
Jordan ~ You have a good point. Sometimes technology is used for the wrong reasons, and then it stirs up the pot.
dmkddfun ~ I agree with your statement. Without diversity, all humans would be the same and boring. God made us with different personalities so that we don't have to be bland and boring, but special.
How does technology affect our relationships and interactions with other people?
Technology has revolutionized the way people work, live, entertain and, most of all, communicate. For example, the on-line communication tools such as MSN messager, emails, and teleconference software have facilitated the contacts of both the loved ones in faraway place and colleagues working in different region. Most importantly, the social website such as the Facebook has even built up an entire virtual world for us. Changing status, updating latest life photos or commenting on each other's page have become a popular way to socialize.
